Mini wrap-up: March 2024

Only one brilliant book stood out to me the most in March – Last Summer on State Street by Toya Wolfe. I wasn’t sure what to expect but it was an emotional rollercoaster especially as we view everything through the lens of the main character as a child. I think this one is a contender for one of my favourites of the year. I know it’s still early days yet but it was that good.

I reread one book last month because I loved it so much the first time around and it still held up the second time. That was Small Things Like These by Claire Keegan.

Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt was one I was most excited to read but I only gave it 3 stars. It took a while for me to get into the book and while the ending was great and it did pay off, there were moments near the start where I did think to DNF it.

Books I read in March and my ratings:

Last Summer on State Street: 5 stars

Small Things Like These: 4 stars

Remarkably Bright Creatures: 3 stars

Assembly: 3 stars

When Our Worlds Collide: 3 stars

Blind Date: 2 stars
