February ended in a bit of a reading slump but I somehow have managed to escape it (touch wood). I’ve read a couple of proofs from publishers and started a big fantasy novel, which I’m fully immersed in.
Last read: Hit or Miss by Elle Kelk
I got sent a copy of this by Harper Collins in exchange for an honest review. Elle is the pseudonym for successful author, Lindsey Kelk, as she shifts away from the rom-coms and delves into a sports romance series. This was an engrossing read, with a great bunch of characters and important mental health representation. I think it’s perfect for fans of slow-burn romances. Review coming soon.
Current read: The Raven Scholar by Antonia Hodgson
Starting huge books sometimes feels intimidating, especially when they’re almost 700 pages. I prefer to start a fantasy series as it’s coming out, like this one, so it doesn’t feel as daunting compared to reading a series with over six books to catch-up with. This one is gripping so far and quite fast-paced. I’m only 200 pages in but I think I’m going to end up loving it a lot.
Next read: Medusa by Rosie Hewlett and Flashlight by Susan Choi
Medusa is one of my favourite myths. I love the overall story so I’m excited to see what Rosie Hewlett does with her adaption.
I’d also love to read Flashlight soon too. I’ve heard lots of great things about this one and the synopsis sounds intriguing. As I’m a bit of a mood reader, I feel like I can’t commit to just one for this answer but both of these books are on my TBR.

Last read was Martyr! By Kaveh Akbar. Currently reading John Steinbeck’s Log from the Sea of Cortez since I’m planning a trip to that area in the near future.
