It’s still January (almost!) so I think it’s okay to share some of my reading goals for the year ahead.
1. Read 70 books
Last year I set my goal to 60 books and managed to read 72 by the end of the Summer. I didn’t want to add too much pressure to read more than that in 2023 because I like reading to be fun and I hate falling into a reading slump. So, I’m thinking, and hoping that 70 is an achievable goal.
2. Read at least 30 pages a day
It can be really hard to switch off from the world, especially when we have our phones on us at all times and that can be a huge distraction. I’m setting a goal to read a set amount of pages a day with the hope that it will entice me to read more once I get started. I think 30 pages a day is also doable even on busier days.
3. Read more genres
I love a variety of genres but I want to read more books outside of my comfort zone. When I’ve done this in the past, I’ve discovered a new favourite read so hopefully this will happen again.
What are your 2023 reading goals?
