Gilmore Girls is one of my favourite tv shows so when I saw this tag on Read by Court‘s blog I knew I had to take part.
Lorelai: A character with a witty or sarcastic sense of humour
Jenny from Lindsey Kelk’s I Heart series is a very funny character. She’s full of life and I think she fits this description quite well.
Rory: Favourite classic
My favourite classic is The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. No matter how many times I read it, I fall in love with the story again and again. I love the main message of the story.
Luke: A book you secretly love but are afraid to admit
This is a hard one because I’m not afraid to admit I like certain books. But I guess chick-lit does get a lot of hate (I don’t know why) so I will pick Deep Heat by Chris Manby.
Lane: A musical character
The first character that comes to my mind is Owen Armstrong from Sarah Dessen’s Just Listen. I love his character and how his love of music helps Annabel with her own troubles.
Dean: Your first book love (character or book you first loved)
One of the first books I ever loved was The Suitcase Kid by Jacqueline Wilson. I was obsessed. I picked up all her books but this is one I remember reading all the time.

Sookie: A book you’ve devoured
I just finished reading Good Girl, Bad Blood by Holly Jackson, which is the sequel to A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder and I don’t know how she does it but I was hooked. It’s the perfect spine- tingling thriller.
Jess: A book you love, that gets the most hate
This is a hard one. I can’t actually think of any. I’ve heard people have mixed reviews about Sophie Kinsella’s novels but I personally love them all. She’s one of my go-to authors.
Miss Patty: A book that was ruined by the hype
I did enjoy Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo but I didn’t love it as much as everyone else did. I also feel the same about Red, White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuinston. They’re good books but I do think going into them I expected a lot more just because of the hype they get.
Emily: An expensive book
I’m not sure I own an expensive book that I’ve bought. But I have some old classic hardbacks and special edition books from subscription boxes.
Paris: An uptight character
The only one I can think of is Hermoine Granger from Harry Potter. I love the character but I think everyone can agree that she is a bit uptight, especially in the first two books. But I guess that is part of her charm!
I tag Rose, Estelle and Eleanor
