There are a lot of books that are hyped in the book community and I don’t always end up picking them up. Some I haven’t been interested in at all. But others I do hope to get to at some point in the future.
The books range from fantasy, women’s literature and young adult.
Take a Hint Dani Brown by Talia Hibbert
I read the first book in this series and really enjoyed the writing style so I can’t wait to read more by this author. If you haven’t read Get a Life Chloe Brown, then I would highly recommend.
Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
Even though this is being made into a Netflix series and I really enjoyed Six of Crows, I haven’t picked this one up yet and I don’t think I’m going to. At least, not for now. I’ve heard mixed reviews about this one which has put me off picking it up.
The Sun is also a Star by Nicola Yoon
Everything, Everything is a book I always recommend so I don’t know why I haven’t picked up this one. I think the only thing putting me off at this moment in time, is the fact her books can be quite heavy and emotional and I haven’t been in the mood to read anything like that for a while.
Imaginary Friend by Stephen Chobsky
Again, Perks of Being a Wallflower by Chobsky is such a wonderful read. However, Imaginary Friend is a completely different genre so I’m not sure if I would enjoy it.
Muse of Nightmares by Laini Taylor
I want to read this one soon. At the start of this year, I read the first installment in the series, Strange the Dreamer and it is one of the best books I have ever read. I can’t wait to devour the next one.
Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon
This is a book I have started but have never got around to finishing. I enjoyed what I read but because it’s such a thick fantasy novel it needs my full attention so I think I need to pick this back up sometime soon. It’s really popular in the book community so I feel I need to persevere to see what all the fuss is about.

I read Strange the Dreamer a few years ago and it took me until February/March this year to finally read Muse of Nightmares. Thankfully I loved it and it’s cemented the duology as one of my all-time favourites series. I also really love The Priory of the Orange Tree but that for me was one that took quite a while to get going due to all the POVs.
