As it’s December, I thought this book tag would be a fun little blog post to get into the Christmas spirit.

Anticipation: The Christmas excitement is real, what book release(s) are you most anticipating?
I’m excited for the release of The No-Show by Beth O’Leary. I binged her other books in one sitting so I’m sure her next one won’t disappoint. I also can’t wait to read The Man Who Died Twice by Richard Osmond.
Christmas Songs & Carols: What book or author can you not help but sing its praises?
Taylor Jenkins Reid is an author I recommend all the time. Her characters and stories just seem so realistic it’s hard not to become obsessed with the worlds she creates. I particularly loved Daisy Jones and The Six and The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo.
Such a Fun Age by Kiley Reid is a book I enjoyed a lot and recommend to a lot of people too.
Gingerbread Houses: What book or series has wonderful world building?
I’m not sure if it counts as world building as a lot of it is set in our world but I adore The Toymakers by Robert Dinsdale. The magic he creates is enchanting and it’s one of my favourite books. It’s the perfect winter read.
A Christmas Carol: Favorite classic or one that you want to read
My favourite classic is The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, followed closely by Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck.
Christmas Sweets: What book would you love to receive for Christmas
I’ve asked for Billy Summers by Stephen King so I hope I get that as I’m excited to read it.
Candles in the Window: What book gives you that warm fuzzy feeling
The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett is a book I always think of as a nice comfort read.
Christmas Trees & Decorations: What are some of your favorite book covers?
Definitely Daisy Jones and The Six and The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo which are both written by Taylor Jenkins Reid.
Christmas Joy: What are some of your favorite things about Christmas And/Or some of your favorite Christmas memories?
I love the build-up to Christmas, wrapping presents, decorating the house, and baking. I think my favourite day is Christmas Eve because there’s still so much to look forward to and I love decorating chocolate logs with my family. There’s nothing better than a good Christmas book or film to get into the holiday spirit too.
