Happy New Year!
This year I’m sticking with the same goal as last year – to read 80 books. This felt attainable without feeling the pressure to read every single week. If I created a higher goal, I think the pressure would infiltrate my enjoyment of reading.
I’m also going to allow myself to DNF (did not finish) books in 2025. Far too often, I say I will do this but once I’ve bought a book, I try to push my way through it, even if I’m not loving it. This ultimately just leads to reading slumps and lack of enjoyment in the long run.
In 2025, I’m also aiming to blog monthly and get back into a routine of writing again after taking a mini break at the end of 2024.
What are your reading goals for 2025? Let me know in the comments below.

I’ll always encourage DNFing. There’s too little time to be making yourself read bad books. Move onto something you’ll enjoy more and it’ll help you finish more! Good luck with your goal

That’s so true. It’s so hard sometimes though when you’ve committed so much time to a book haha!

I think a lot of us struggle with DNFing a book. I don’t have a lot, but last year I did better with this. Good luck with your goals, Emma.
